How can i convince my mother to let my dad and i go mountain biking? We moved here to be able to do just that!?
I don’t know why but it seems as though my mom wont let me or my dad go mountain biking just 20 miles away. I mean…we moved here from Mississippi so we could experience the outdoors….yeah right! My dad is jobless and he cant find one due to lack of jobs open….he has a bunch of free time (other than time to search for jobs) to take me yet we still cant go. Dont get me wrong, i have a better relationship with my mother but this seems like one of the things she wont let us do. Why does she want us huddled up in a house all day? I want to go out and stop getting overweight…….get some fresh air. I sound like some lame retard but i am getting claustrophobic in a house with 4000 square feet!
Go for a ride on the road.
Do you have any parks near your house? Some of them have really nice bike trails. Your mom probably wants the whole family together…especially since your father is currently jobless. Maybe she thinks its too dangerous. Believe me, I know how moms can be overprotective. But yeah, just try to enjoy what you have around your neighborhood. :]
Sounds like mom’s vote needs to be overridden by you two…….sack up and get out biking !
Like MV said, just get out there, get covered in mud and come back grinning like a maniac and she will probably come round.
