How do you control cycling trainer sweat?
While on your in-home cycling trainer or at the gym, what concepts/ideas/items do you use to pool, whisk away, and especially relocate the sweat you accumulate?
Open ended-question.
Yes, I think we are all in agreement that sweat is good. We are not trying to prevent sweat, but are explaining the manner in which we control it.
I have a couple fans blowing on me. I have a towel to keep the sweat off my frame and another 1 or 2 to wipe the sweat off me.
Yes I agree fans and towels.
i drap a towel over my bike to protect it, and from there let it rip. sweat is good. it helps cool you, and it reduces toxins in your body. it is a sign you are actually working, so there isnt really any stopping it. a fan can help evaporate some, but i find only some.
sweating is one of the good indications you are getting a good workout,if you do not want to sweat indoors, get out and ride a bike.
For stopping sweat dripping on the bike, a towel will do. Just be sure it doesn’t get into the wheels and the cranks.
For your head, a sweatband helps to channel the sweat away from your eyes and face. There’s one called a sweat gutter that seems to work pretty well.

Cycling gloves itself has a part near the thumbs that you use to wipe the sweat away, so use those too. Like outdoor cycling, cycling jerseys wicks away sweat a lot better than t shirts. Although you won’t have to worry about the wind factor indoors.
I don’t, really. I’ve got the cloth thing on my bike to keep it from rusting any more than it already has. Its a beater long past being useful outside, so I don’t really care.
As for the floor, I mop it down now and then. Its the basement, so the wife doesn’t really care.
wearing proper cycling gear will help other than that a sweat band on your head and towels and a fan or the ac if your not at a public gym
