How do you get into sports bike racing?

I am interested in getting into sports bike racing but I am not quite sure where to start. The only type of motorcycle that I have ridden are dirt bikes and I have not done that very much. I don’t expect to be able to race in the motoGP (even though i wish i could), but what does it require to get started? Also can I use a stock bike or will I need to put a lot of money into upgrades?

for mx racing theres many different classes. there are stock classes, mod ones, and open. so now you can race just your stock classes and your open classes and even mod if youd like but youd get killed. it reeaally takes a lot of time and money for this sport and people dont realoze it. becareful beause its extremely addictiong and like my family, it will become a lifwstyle, not a sport. thers national races and most people work daily on eatong, strength, and enndurance to win these because its there life. i highly recommend this but you will be bankrupt once you start. great luck!!!!!

You have to start racing in motocross as a beginner and learn how to ride the track. All you have to do is practice and practice and practice,Then you join the AMA it used to be only $12.00 a year to be a Professional. One of my friends was a tuner for Evil Knievel
