Is an Rm 85 good for trails and racing?

I have been looking around for a new dirt bike. I want a bike that I can ride on the trail but also do some jumping when I want to. I know it is more of a racing bike, but can it handle trail riding?
I do have experience and I have been riding since I was about 5 or 6.

    It is fine for racing but not so great for trails and going by your other question and your height you really don’t need anything bigger. If you have no experience then get a 4 stroke like the crf150r which would do better for both types of riding. They are powerful fast little race bikes while still being easier for a beginner and with a good rider on board would smoke any 2 stroke.
    Don’t get a 125cc 2 stroke as it is way too big for someone your height and would be impossible on the start line even with the suspension lowered and blocks. At 5ft you may need blocks even on a 150cc. If you really cannot afford a bike like the crf150r then the rm85 is a much better choice than a 125cc that someone suggested in your other question.

    yes an rm 85 would do just fine in the woods, maybe think about gearing it different and getting a smaller sprocket, also think about softening the suspension

    The Rm 85 is definitley a little beast, its a complete racing bike, and somewhat trail bike,
    the bike no matter what is always a racing bike, you can always go on a track,
    just make sure if you ever have a 2 stroke dirtbike always have to be on the gas, otherwise your ganna stall, and thats kinda bad because for example your on a trail, and you dont know but theres some drops straight ahead, and your haulin your flying ,and your always on the gas, and then boom you drop, but if it was a 2 stroke , you could have a better chance, its kinda hard for me to explain but im trying my best={
