Also, what are some good mountain bike brand names?

Recently, the idea of biking has become quite appealing and I was thinking of purchasing one. I’ve always been fairly good on a bike, and i own a regular one that you can buy at Canadian Tire right now, but it’s really old and a piece of junk and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what type of bike to buy. I would like one that would be beginner/intermediate friendly, also, the cost, if possible. Thanks!

Between my family, we have several bicycles. Unfortunately, we were storing a large headboard in front of a mountain bike and I completely forgot about it until we just sold the headboard. At this point, do I need to get new tires or should I just try filling the current ones? Should I take it in for a professional “tune up” or are there just a few things I should be looking for?

I just went mountain biking with a friend for the first time ever. We went down some trails… it was really scary but im hooked. I dont know much about bikes. Whats a good brand? The trails im talking about are very very rocky, and have natural jumps and what not. So i need something durable.
