racing bike tires/tubes?
ok so i am like a bit heavy, 155 lbs. and i have an older racing bike. its a schwinn world bike. i replaced the tires/tubes and when i pump them up they only stay pumped for like a day and then they start to deflate. not majorly but when i get on the bike the tires look a little flat, again not completely flat. how do i fix them? i kno that there arent any holes in them. i already checked.
The tires should not be noticeably reduced in pressure in a day. You don’t say how you checked. To do this you have to remove the tubes from the tires, and pump them up and check for leaks in water. You =may have pinched the tubes slightly when you installed them causing a small puncture. When you install bike tires, you must do it by hand, no tools that might pinch the tube.
if its not a small puncture then its possible that over the space of the day the air in the tyre just got evenly distributed from when you first pumped it up… comon.. just pump it up again and things should be good.
your weight souldn’t be an issue
You have a small leak somewhere. Put the tube under water to find it. Racing bicycle tires should be hard to the touch, read the pressure rating printed on the side of the tire.
